terminal – PowerShell on MacOS Arrow keys randomly write symbols as an alternative of transferring the cursor

I’m utilizing macOS Sequoia 15.4, however this difficulty has been there even in earlier variations of the system.

Once I’m utilizing PowerShell (I would like it for a challenge I am engaged on) typically after I press arrow keys to maneuver the cursor (left and proper keys) or to make use of a beforehand used command (up or down keys) the shell prints symbols as an alternative of transferring the cursor/displaying earlier instructions.

Up prints OA (it is a capital ‘O’, not a zero)

Down prints OB

Proper prints OC

Left prints OD

If this occurred each time I’d search for an issue with some key mapping. However that is very random, prefer it strikes the cursor 3 instances, prints symbols as soon as, strikes a couple of extra instances, then prints a bunch of instances. There would not appear to be any sample to it.

Does anybody know find out how to repair this? It is driving me loopy…
